Gallery Nine Four Two is a multi-faceted community space: a micro gallery, photo studio, and community, centering artist mothers & allies. Founded by Alexa Mazzarello, an Ottawa-based photographer by trade, the space required a visual brand that would represent the baby-friendly nature of the community, while tying in the artfulness and playfulness at the heart of the studio. To accomplish this, we created a mascot that is shaped like the studio building, pairing it up with some effortless-feeling type, and creating a custom library of hand-rendered textures and funky illustrations.
